Framing:
All of the prefabricated light gauge "Galvanized" steel framing materials required for framing the structure. The roof trusses, ceiling furring, 4” or 6" exterior wall studs, 3 1/2” interior wall studs, 2nd floor joists, all headers, track, post, sub fascia, soffit framing, hurricane clips, angle straps, and fasteners to complete the structures assembly.

 

Items not included:

• Foundation drawings (It is recommended that you contact a local Architect/Engineer to draw the foundation for your home to comply with your specific County and State Building Codes. This Architect/Engineer will draw the foundation details, electrical, plumbing, sewer/septic, your plot plan drawings, will add our detail and erection drawings to your blueprint packet, will re-stamp the entire packet, and will then becomes the local Architect/Engineer of record for your Building Permit Process)
• Foundation materials
• Electrical wiring, switches, out lets, power boxes, breakers, fixtures, or weather heads (your local electrician or public service company should supply these items)
• Plumbing pipes, fittings, or hot water heaters (your local plumber should supply these items)
• Sheeting, 5/8” pressure treated plywood roof decking, 1/2” pressure treated plywood wall sheeting, or 3/4" pressure treated plywood decking (less expensive to purchase locally due to the weight and cost of shipping)
• Drywall, mud, tape, or screws (less expensive to purchase locally due to the weight and cost of shipping) 
• Interior or exterior paints, stains, sealers or wallpaper
• Caulking or sealing materials (except window flashing)
• Floor coverings
• Kitchen/bath counter tops
• Appliances
• Heating, cooling equipment, or ducting
• Hot water heater
• Stairs (Interior/exterior stairs are required to be field manufactured to fit structure)
• Gutters or down spouts
• Assembly or erection of the home

1. Termite & Vermin Resistant
We know the fact that we spend lots of money for the treatment against termites for wood framed homes. Termites and other pests can’t eat steel and can’t chew through steel. Your Custom Steel Frame Home will help avoid most of the expense of pest control treatment.

2. Fire Safety / Resistance
Custom Steel Framed Home walls act as a one-hour fire rated wall if it is sheathed with 5/8" drywall. Our Steel Frame Homes offer heavy protection from fire & high winds. The nature of  steel does not allow spreading of fire. The major benefits: offers sufficient time for evacuating family & loved ones and gives more time for fire fighters to save the remaining structure & its components. Your main structure steel framing does not burn.

3. Recycle
All excess steel scrap is recyclable.

4. Energy Saving with higher Insulation rating
Our "Custom Steel Frame Homes" have 4” to 6" thick exterior walls which will allow insulation ratings up to R-30 (attic) and R-19 (exterior walls), produce quieter interiors, and higher comfort levels inside the home. You will save a good amount of money in the long run on your energy bills. The standard 4" thick walls & added insulation (R-14) will reduce outside noises substantially compared to wood frame homes.

5. Financing / Resale value
With our energy efficient Steel Framed Homes, buyer can qualify for mortgages at higher debt-to-income ratios by Housing Development & Urban Development. By delivering a Steel Frame Home, we believe that we delivered you a product with high resale value and with lower maintenance cost. Some insurance companies offer discounts on Home Owner’s Insurance Policies when the home is constructed with steel framing.

6. Inside Environment
Our "Custom Steel Frames Homes" will provide you a vapor free environment. The Framing of your home is protected against rust, corrosion, and steel does not promote mildew. Encapsulated Galvanized steel has a life expectancy of 250 plus years (not warrantied for that time peroid).

7. Weather
Our "Custom Steel Framed Homes" are much stronger than wood & much sturdier in any type of disasters such as Hurricane, Tornado, Earthquakes, and Heavy Snows. You can save more money by reducing repair costs.

8. Your own Home Plans
MEI & CSS invites you to send your own plans, sketches, requirements, and we will send you a materials quote that may help you build your Dream Home with stronger Steel Framing.

9. Larger Spans
Because of engineering design with steel components, our "Custom Steel Framed Homes" have greater flexibility. This allows us to design up to 40’ "Clear Spans" (As per eng. design) You can create wide spacious rooms without support columns in between or in the middle of a room. Wood framed homes can not offer this type of flexibility.

10. Perfect Alignment, Straight Walls, and Perfect Corners
Our "Custom Steel Framed Homes" come with straight pre-cut materials that will allow constructing your home in less time and usually at less expense. Metal does not wrap, buckle or split. The result is clear; you will get perfect aligned ceilings & walls with fewer separations of exterior materials over time.

11. Welded / Bolted connections
With the help of engineering design in steel, we provide your steel frame home with steel tech screws, pre-welded, or bolted connections which do not come apart with age. Building a wood framed homes with nails does not offer this advantage.
